How can I place an order?
To find ready to buy prototypes go to the 'Shop' page and place your order. For custom made projects visit the page 'Custom made' and fill out the form - we will get back at you in 24 hours. For any questions about personalization send us an e-mail ('Contact' page).

Are the houses handmade?
At the moment, each piece is handmade and assembled in our workshop in Grenoble, France, using okoume plywood sourced at a local wood shop, finished either with child-safe hardwax oil (Osmo) or water based paint (Little Greene).

Can I request custom colours or finishes?
Yes. Custom colours, wallpapers, papers, and other finishes are welcome whenever possible. Feel free to get in touch with your ideas and we can discuss the options together.

How long does it take to receive an order?
Delivery time depends on the model and whether the piece is already available or made to order. As a general guideline, please allow around two weeks between placing your order and delivery.
If your order is urgent, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate it. If production takes longer than expected, we will always keep you informed.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Atelier Poupée ships internationally.
Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on destination.

Are the houses toys?
Atelier Poupée creates small architectures for play and imagination. The houses are designed to encourage open-ended play, storytelling, and spatial exploration

What scale are the houses?
The houses are not designed according to a strict dollhouse scale. They are conceived more as small architectures than miniature replicas.
That said, many pieces work beautifully with figures around 1:12 scale, including Playmobil characters and other small toys.

Do the houses come with furniture?
Furniture and accessories are not usually included.
The idea is to leave space for children to invent their own worlds using objects they already have. However, we occasionally create or source small furniture and accessories for specific projects or custom orders.

Do you work with shops, photographers, galleries, or cultural institutions?
Yes. We are always happy to discuss collaborations, workshops, exhibitions, photo shoots, and wholesale opportunities.

Is this a good gift for a child who loves building or design?
Yes — Atelier Poupée pieces are designed for children (and design-loving adults) who enjoy construction, imagination, and objects that last well beyond a typical toy's lifespan. They also work well as milestone gifts: births, birthdays, or a child's first "real" piece of furniture-scale design.

Who designs the houses?
Each piece is designed by Eszter Réti, a Budapest-trained architect (MOME), who brings an architectural approach to scale, proportion, and construction rather than working from typical toy conventions. Atelier Poupée has been featured in Milk Magazine.
